Sage It! [White Sage Uses]

An Article on Hauntings...

In our modern day, we have more supposed video evidence of hauntings and demonic home possession. Some of them are hard to distinguish the validity of the video. Over my twenty years as a witch and my eight years as a High Priestess, holding a legitimate license of ministry I have cleared many houses of a variety of things. Thus far nothing too awful has come across my lap. With that being said, it is extremely important that I tell you my experience in these matters and my handling of these matters came in my early adult years. At that point I had been a practicing witch for about five years before ever handling situations on my own.

Though these matters have become as normal to me as going to work, they are all approached with caution. When dealing with demonic or spiritual issues there is never a way to know what one is going to find when you enter a client’s home. Always before handling these things, my body is covered in more protection, and a variety of oils, there has been cleansing and preparation before ever heading into any home. There have been entites that have managed to attack my energy and even one case of myself becoming temporarily possessed. It is a bit frightening to have little to no control over your body and to suddenly be shaken out of it while standing barefoot in the Walmart parking lot. Without my training at the time, the removal of the entity by my partner would not have been possible. 

Now, back to my main point. With these videos, in the more realistic situations of haunting or possible demonic oppression, the go-to quick fix is to use Sage. Smudging with Sage is only good for negative energy. This means that negative entities or even ghosts will not go away with Sage. In some cases, it can feed some things and in others annoy or simply anger others. Using this smudge in the wrong situation can cause more harm and increase the issues for the person dealing with it. Unless you actually understand how to get rid of things and you have investigated yourself and are able to determine what is plaguing them, please do not throw out these recommendations. 

On another note, if you reach out for help, no one worth their salt is going to ask you to pay them to remove something. Just a couple of years ago, it came to my attention that a woman )a scammer) who claimed to be ‘the most powerful energy worker’ was charging $400 or more to cleanse your home. She was then putting her own garbage in the house so she could continue to charge for ‘removals.’ This is not what anyone who is actually trying to help you will do. One of her former clients (and vendors) encountered me and told me that something was still not right in her home. It ended up in me giving her back her keys and telling her to put up her own protection. My protection was there to help her, not to stop her or control her home. Their business partnership ended in a chaotic explosion and the client figured out that the ‘energy worker’ was doing exactly as I had suspected. The client, well will call her J, did not have to pay me and was not beholden to me in any way. As long as she had her home back and could move on with her life, then that is my payment. 

So for the love of everything, please do some reading, get a priest, or even reach out to me here and I am happy to give you solid advice or help you find someone local who is trustworthy. If you are close by, there is a chance I can come myself and investigate what is going on. However, if the haunting or oppression is not somewhere that people reside, then it will remain in its current state.
